MSE Cupellation furnace is suitable for melting at 1100°C after the mixing of samples with together the chemicals such as Borax (Na2B4O710H2O), Silica Sand (SiO2), Lead (II) Oxide (PbO), Silver Nitrate (AgNO3), Potassium Nitrate (KNO3), Carbon (C), Sodium Carbonate (NACO3), Calcium Fluoride (CaF2).
Internal bricks, insulation materials, heating elements and thermocouple are chosen resistant to acidic, basic and neutral vapours. At the same time, these vapours should be carried to outside easily.
End of the process, the lid of the furnace will be often waiting open. But, there shouldn’t risk of thermal shock for the furnace heating elements.
Taking into consideration that these problems and needs of our customers, we have carefully designed the position of the heating elements and chimney system in the furnace.
We use refractory materials that are resistant to acidic, basic and neutral vapours.
And the other furnaces for example (Muffle furnaces, chamber furnaces, etc.) can’t resistant to evolved gases from these materials in the long-term. Because of that, the lifetime of the MSE cupellation furnace is longer than the other furnaces lifetime.
Cupellation furnaces can be manufactured in different volumes up to 1300 °C continuous use temperature on demand by the customer.
